R580 build done

Recommended Posts

Here's some pics of the build I've done over the last 6 months from a second hand kit - knowing what I do now I'd have been better just starting from new. Tried to replicate the truck I often drive in the background.

10 channel radio, MFU-1 with a OB1 piggyback for more outputs and trailer bluetooth. Facelift front end., rear and side skirts. Alloy wheels and Micheline tires. Scratch built roof spoiler.

False floor and wall behind the seats so everything is hidden - battery, MFU etc.

Cassis cleaned up and steering servo relocated under the motor with a low profile one.

Loads of other stuff I'll have forgotten about!

No, not having that. The first few pictures are photo shopped!

Bravo, fantastic work. I have 2 kits in progress ,a Grand Hauler and Scania R620. Have a MFU and bought a brier sound and light module, thats really a nightmare to programme.

If mine come out half as good as yours I will be pleased.

Would really like to see the work in the cab if possible, will help with my attempt.

Very very nice mate. What brand are the fuel/air tanks and cab locking mechanism. How cool to have a ‘mini me’ of your full size version. Lovely work.

Regards

Kurt
