(Re-)realistic wishlist?

After having read various threads on the re-issues & vintage cars, I'm even more at a loss as to what one can do, and what one can hope for... Like many I have a wishlist which consists of cars I once owned, or always wanted. I for one do not care whether they are vintage or re-issues, it boils much more down to: "can I really find them..." & "are these honestly affordable"?

I stumbled on the much coveted 'Bruiser' today on eBay for over 2000$...! If they're going like that, then my only hope is re-issues, but I try to be very realistic (sceptic) about that possibility. My (rather short) wishlist consist of the 'Bruiser', HotShot, Fox, Frog (on order soon!) & BigWig. Only the last one I owned many ears ago, as I did the Grasshopper (got the re-release now).

So, should one hope for 'lucky breaks' on eBay & similar sites, or pray for re-releases and just be happy with what might come to be?

Realistically I would love a Bruiser and sand scorcher body re-release. There re several chassis's out there just waiting for a body.

Most Defintely will have to be a

Hotshot and the Supershot. The supershot to be the most unlikely for it to happen. My collecting days will be at an end after this.

Already have a nice Hotshot, but would love to see the Fast Attack Vehicle. Always wanted one. I remember back when they were new, they were expensive cars. I wasn't able to get one, being a kid with no money at the time. I had a Hotshot, but couldn't raise the cash for a FAV. I remember this rich kid I was in school with had all the nice Tamiya cars; Hotshot, Fast Attack, Wild One, Fox...I called him up out of the blue one day when we were older, and asked if he wanted to sell the Hotshot or the Fast Attack. Said they were "family heirloom's" so no. A FAV re re would be awesome.

Mind you. I'd still probably buy a Hotshot and a Rough Rider if they did those. A Frog will be heading my way soon as well.

My first venture into the forums as a new member had to be about the re-releases... For me, nothing else comes close to the nostalgia created and it would have to be

Boomerang - feeling so bad that I sold mine years ago when I was a kid!

Supershot - remains of some severe school-age envy (among other things [])

Sand scorcher - the first Tamiya car I saw and the one that got me hooked

My Thundershot is on order. I can't wait to be back on the ladder...

I have to add that this is such a cool site and the forums are excellent. Huge thanks to all the members.
