Tamtech cars.....Hornet, Frog, Fox...etc Worth anything?

Thought I'd revive this thread...

I just scored a tt porsche 962c kit for $40 on Mercari. Not sure of the release date on this but I'm guessing either late 80's or early 90's. So the tech is old. It comes with a crystal I believe, but not the tx. I was poking around and saw that some versions did have the tx included. My question is, does anyone who has experience with this older TamTech line know whether or not I can outfit it with modern tx and rx? I may just hold onto it as a collectible, as I do have a GT-01 Porsche Martini kit I could build, and these are a lot easier to find now. I'm telling you guys, don't sleep on Mercari. I bought both of these kits for less than $200.

Never had any luck to score the original TamTech series.. but will be on the search for some..  I hope I can have as fruitful a collection as I did with the latter series.
