Hello, i want to put some Decals on my Wild Dagger Bigfoot # 1 and on my Clod.

Yo find Decals on Ebay.

There is an old Version

And a New Version:

Sadly i only got the "new improved Version" , of course the old Version looks better and i think it would stick better on the Tires becaus single Letters are more flexible.

Do anyone of you have expieriences with that sort of Decals?

Is there any softener for Vinyldecals??

I would love to get some "rubberbased" Decals on "transferpaper" or some Kind of Stencil to Paint the Letters on.

Are you sure the originals are not just white on clear?

They do look better than on the black background, that was a bad decision!

My recent Isuzu mu has Tamiya tyre decals, I cleaned and dried the tyre first, they seem to adhere well

Maybe it was White on Clear, it`s not easy to tell.

If you zoom into the Picture you can spot some Colordistortion around the Letters, that could be a clear Sticker or it is just a distortion because of the Compression.

On the not zoomed Picture it looks just like white Letters on a transferfoil.

You can have someone with a vinyl plotter cut out stickers like the original, but remove the letters instead of the outside and use it as a stencil. Painted would look better than stickers IMO.

I would love that.

Sadly i do not know anybody who has that Kind of Machine.

Also i do not have the Skill to design a Stencil.

Dressing a tyre can look great, not tried stickers before, I’ve used auto tyre pens on RC tyres to good effect if the tyre has text on already. Do the stickers come off if you run the car?

I don`t know yet.

I`ve ordered them a while ago and the didn`t arrived yet. But i can only imagine that the Vinylstickers, if they art thick enough, just dont flex.

My Dagger tires are very soft, so if the decals do not flex, they will just come off.

So my first thought was to put some kind of chemical softener on the decal or cut the Decal into little piecesso the tire is able to flex

Look for a local sign shop for a vinyl plotter. Many signs are made with vinyl because it can be cheaper/easier than painting. If you take that picture from above and one of the tires you want to use, they should be able to size it correctly and cut it out.
