Hi . Has anyone built a re-re Optima and still has any left over scraps of the blue body sticker sheet ? . I only need about 2 strips of around 15 - 20mm  long to replace 2 pieces at the front where it says '4 wheel drive' . UK please due to postage . Thanks.

Won’t you need 2 yellow bits too?! For the bonnet

Hmmm, so is this a two wheel drive project then?

Yes it is Lee

Here is a little taster of it . It is an Ultima inspired Optima shelled custom chassis to fit around your shell , which has had minimal cutting . In fact the only cut I made is the same cut as the 2016 instructions say to make around the rear gear cover - so strictly speaking  , no excess cuts . I don't suppose you have any of the blue sticker sheets left do you ?  . I'm experimenting with front adapters to mount hex front wheels . Here is a full shot of my initial idea based on Sandmaster parts but the towers and dampers have been swapped out for the red and silver Ali towers .

That looks awesome!!

No, sadly not - i did check the remains of the sticker sheet but no blue left. From what I recall because the blue and yellow parts were die cut there wasnt any left over boundary. There wasnt actually any spare decal left to even allow some overlap between them hence my spots of blue and yellow paint to fill the gaps. Literally not a milimetre spare - there were some choice words applying them that evening.

The paint i used was Citadel enchanted blue, about a 30 year old vintage but reasonably close enough match if you dont look too closely.

I see.  No problem . I've got some blue vinyl which isn't hideous so I'll use that for now . The whole project has moved on a bit since those pics, just waiting on the rear shocks and sort the wheels out then I can get it rollin' . I would like Optima wheels and tyres on it but that might need work as the diameters of the wheels are smaller than the Ultima ones
