That's what I normally do, until things start going wrong. Ideally a car manufacturer wants the whole car to fall to bits like a clown car, once it's designed life has been met. The same mate above, had part of the heater matrix spec'd in stainless ,but when it came to manufacturing, it was made out of mild steel, as it was obviously cheaper, but would last the designed life of the car.

I have a 1:1 Miata mx5 as a “project” I’ve done nothing to. I just semi daily it in the summer. Right now I am deciding if I am going to sell it outright before I move next year or tote it across the country.
