I started off on this route, but once I had the huge wheels is just wasn't' low enough. For regular wheels and tyres I think this is the best option to get wide and low. Incidentally, how do you find it drives on tarmac? One of my main drivers for the change was to make a comical that could bash around on a hard surface with our constant grip roll. The wide stance, low height and reduced grip of the slick tyres fixes that issue, at the cost of much less tight turning circle (through loss of grip, but also the need to just the dual rate down so as not to scuff the tyres not he front bumper :-) Do you have your handling well? I think my next step is some weight in the nose to prevent too much wheels from my brushless setup.
Problemchild 2149 Posted February 18, 2021 @Bwaaatch my nose is about 10mm off the ground the suspension needs to be stiffer for driving or it will be bottoming out all the time. Personally wouldn’t go lower but just get really stiff suspension if you want to run it on tarmac I like your wheels - links? JJ

Alwb68 125 Posted February 20, 2021 Built this yesterday. It will be a Countach when it’s finished, I know technically it’s the wrong wheels and tyres for the chassis, but I think this looks better. Still a lot of body work to go, but will hopefully look stunning.
Glowingtomato 77 Posted February 23, 2021 My Neo Scorcher TT02B! Just finished last night and I'm taking to a track today. I added bearings, aluminum prop shaft and motor mount. The build was pretty easy and my first time dealing when the AW grease, that stuff is super sticky! This is my 4th Tamiya kit and I have 4 more to build (and Thunder Dragon whenever that comes out)

Luke76 84 Posted March 2, 2021 Here's a Mercedes GT3 I did with a clear body. I admit to stealing the idea from this thread by Tamiya Era, from way back in 2013. He used a Tamiya TA05 VDF Gold Edition chassis, mine is also a TA05 but it's the Eagle Racing version.

Baddon 860 Posted March 2, 2021 My latest build was a restore of a broken 2nd hand manta Ray (which I REALLY dont like the look of) so it was always in my head going to be done as a Dirt Thrasher. I needed some new parts which were sourced (mostly from TTP & Time Tunnel) and added. Then the body was sent of to a member who likes doing the bodies (part of the build I hate) and the result is:-
