TG10 - Restore/Build

Well after saying back in June that I may need to get a TG10 after reading @acprc
thread on the TNS. I've been keeping an eye on ebay for a cheap chassis.

 

Well I did that thing were I bid on something and expected not to win but ended winning.

 

Its a pretty bare chassis, as you can see.

 

 

 

 

Plans are to make it as a runner and nitro, off road style so will be using buggy or truck style arms. Got a hardened prop shaft and Racy Alloy hub carriers on the way.

I'll be giving it a full strip down and rebuild of diffs.

It will not be an Ultimate build but rather what ever comes up cheap on ebay will be thrown at it. Will be using a mix of Tamiya and 3rd party items.

 

Oh and with it being the nitro version of the TB01.... I am pretty much in my element with it and most importantly NO BALL diffs

Nope on the drive shaft. Is the spur gear plastic or metal, hard to tell

The spur's are usually black so probably an aftermarket part and clearly the driveshaft is. With the small front bumper it looks like the chassis could of been a TG-10 mini unless the last owner just added a rear at the front to sell it.

Possibly 3rd party for the tt01? I've seen white spurs for them and they mount the same way.

Spur appears to be a standard part. The prop shaft however is totally random and has been made to fit.
