Installation THORP Dirt Burners 4580 Tamiya FOX Ball Diff Unit for Stock Hex Drives

Recommended Posts

Looking for some guidance here. I purchased the THORP Fox 4580 Ball Diff Unit for Stock Hex DrivesĀ and have it installed(please see pics). My question is, what are the next steps here if I'm using the stock Axles? Strip the housing in red? I know that the 4581's can be paired with the slotted axles, but I don't own that route at this point, and these aren't cheap! Do I need to purchase Thorp 'stock hex' axles also? Thank you!
