I’m trying to modify my TT02 by raising it partially through changing the length of the lower connector on the CVA shocks and in order to do that I have to pop them off of the ball that they are connected to which is screwed into the chassis. Is there some technique or tool I can use to accomplish this? Even the pliers didn’t help! My fingers hurt! I remember that they were quite tough to pop on to begin with.

If you have some pliers, I usually just twist the connector and they come off. Other tools I use are turnbuckle tools as they have a slot that's usually just right to pop them off.

I bought a set of miniature pliers from Machine Mart that includes a set with a rounded nose.  These are perfect for slipping behind the eye and popping them off with minimal effort.  Normal needle-nose pliers will work but the flat edge might damage the ball surface if you're not gentle.

There is a special ball-cup removal tool you could get, but if you don't want to buy a tool right now:

I notice this is a TT02, so the shock tower should be easy to remove without having to disassemble the rest of the chassis. Just unscrew the shock tower and twist the shocks loose, should take only a minute.

Literally just crawled out of bed to try this and it worked like magic. Thank you!
