Short Version

Can anyone recommend a 2S LiPo-compatible ESC for a Micro-scale car (actually 1:18 but uses a micro can) which has forward and reverse functionality and a BEC?  I don't mind importing (banggood etc).

Long Version

I bought my daughter an FTX Outback Mini X for Christmas, but after 10 minutes of lessons on Saturday she handed me back the stick controller and said "I like the square ones."  After translating from 3yo to Adult, I figured she means she prefers stick controllers - I started teaching her to drive her Lunchbox using my 6ch stick controller which was much easier for her tiny fingers.  The FTX wheel controller is very dinky to an adult, but it's too big for her to get reverse.

Anyhoo, I figured the best thing is for me to get another i6 handset, then we can buddy-up with a trainer lead for when she gets stuck (or heads off towards the flower border at full throttle, which is her favourite trick with the lunchbox).  Only problem is the i6 isn't compatible with the FTX receiver (I have tried binding it, it doesn't bind) and the receiver is part of the ESC, so to make it work I'll need a new ESC also.

I don't know anything about micro ESCs, I just know this car has a 2S LiPo and a tiny little brushed can.  It probably draws minimal power.

If it helps, the motor is an 88T 030 size and the battery is 2S 600mAh.  Actually I might even hook it up to am ammeter later on to see what the current draw is.

There are a good amount of cheap generic micro brushed esc's on amazon and banggood, but this one should the best for a crawler since it has instant reverse. I'm fairly certain that you could find someplace that stocks them in the UK as well. Some other options are the castle micro sidewinder and the Holmes BR mini, but they cost over 4x the amount of the one I linked.

Thanks, with a bit of browsing I found an identical-looking one on Banggood (photo of the circuit looks exactly the same) but it doesn't explicitly state that it has a LiPo cutoff.  I suppose I could try it with a LiPo alarm to see if it stops.  Thanks :)

Sure, I like Hobbywing ESCs, although in this case it's a bit chunky for the limited space and feels like overkill for the truck - thanks for the suggestion tho :)
