Falcon replacement steering rods

The manual says the steering rods are 63mm and 80mm. Did they never use these sizes in other sets specifically re-releases? I was looking at grasshopper, grasshopper 2, and hornet, but theirs are shorter. What's a suitable replacement?

Go out and buy a threaded rod.  Any hobby store that sells planes should have it. Then just cut it to length.  You can buy a 3mm rod to use the stock ends or a 4mm for a more heavy duty application but you'll need bigger rod ends, which you can also buy at the hobby shop.

You can buy them (I know I had to)

the stock rods are 2mm, not 3. but amazon has them in various lengths, threaded on both ends. so i can cut them in half and z-bend them. thank you.
