nel33 870 Posted January 25, 2021 that thunder dragon looks sleek, like some planes you'd see in 80s morning cartoons.
Mad Ax 9149 Posted January 25, 2021 That tracked Landfreeder looks interesting. I know aftermarket tracked wheel replacements have been around for a while now but they don't seem to be particularly good, will be keen to see how Tamiya have handled it and if they are reliable. I expect it to be pricey though (even on the TT02). Will be interesting to see if they release them separately (IIRC they didn't sell the portals separately so there might be some TT02s being parted out). I also like that they added a chassis cover to the TT02 - it shows they thought about it more than just sticking an ill-fitting body over the chassis. With some paint and decals, it could look like a proper custom tracked vehicle.
Tamiyabigstuff 830 Posted January 25, 2021 8x4 tipper truck....wallet is in for some more pain....
Fabia130vRS 2098 Posted January 25, 2021 I am getting the fighter buggy memorial, the tt02 quad something and escort street version basically I see here a possibility to make a TT02 rally car with mudguards and tub cover. using the escort shell and sell of the resto parts
Wetman 417 Posted January 25, 2021 Mm RS Escort, Calibra and tipper truck. Looks like the CC-02range is slowly expanding as well
Badcrumble 4181 Posted January 25, 2021 Can anyone explain to me why the photos on the Tamiyablog new releases entry include a 934, 935 and Kumamon tractor? Or is this explained in a video I haven't watched?!
moffman 5707 Posted January 25, 2021 I like the comical hotshot (won't get one but it looks pretty cool) the topforce evo looks really good aswell but I have one so I can't justify buying probably what's going to be quite an expensive buggy and no sign of the re-re-re egress (yet) and I need a new undertray! So in all very good line up but nothing that takes my fancy........let's see what kyosho are going to give us this year??
TwistedxSlayer 1290 Posted January 25, 2021 Loving the tracked tt02. Tempted fir that kit and buying buggy arms separately and having it mega wide tracked

Too much chassis exposed under the Landfreeder body for me.
Wandy 1526 Posted January 25, 2021 I want all three of these below plus the Top Force Evo. Can't remember the last time so many fantastic looking buggies got released at the same time by Tamiya, they are really gunning for it in the face of Covid-19 adversity. And thinking about it, they did this back in 2009 when faced with the global economic downturn.

If I remember correctly the second time they brought back the Egress they did so without much fanfare. Purely speculation on my part, but the stuff on display today is what's considered new stuff and the Egress will just sort of pop back up into existence.
StuHU 2 Posted January 25, 2021 Think the Plasma Edge will do for the lad to replace his junk FTX thing. Loving the Top-Force but I suspect the kit is going to be very very pricey.
moffman 5707 Posted January 25, 2021 Yeah I think your right there! Don't get me wrong it's a very good line up (well done tamiya👍) especially with the TP evo because people who a desperate for that stunner will now get the chance and to be honest if funds permit and it not going to come in over priced (vqs) I could be tempted but as it stands at the moment it's a one which I would love but I've just been ripped off a bit with my super hotshot so I'm feeling a big money sensitive? The prices I've seen quoted so far haven't been off putting. 399,- puts it around the Avante and that seems fair. I was expecting/fearing 450-490. We both know there's nothing quite like a fresh Top Force Evolution build to cure your Super Hotshot blues

Guest Posted January 25, 2021 Pricing is so interesting. Last year I got the Lancia 037 Rally for £179 on the TA02S chassis. The new Opel Calibra is on the TA02 chassis which is practically identical and it is suggested the price will be £195. Given that the Lancia body is by far more complicated it seems hard to justify that price. Going to buy one anyway, but thoughts ....

El Gecko 1329 Posted January 25, 2021 I'm holding out hope that those gold Fighter Buggy RX wheels will be available as spare parts, but I will most likely be disappointed.
markbt73 5290 Posted January 25, 2021 Whew. Good. Nothing there I can't live without. This year's plan of "buy nothing else, save up for a 3 speed" remains intact. Though I may have to pick up that Fiat 131 static model...
