I like the comical hotshot (won't get one but it looks pretty cool) the topforce evo looks really good aswell but I have one so I can't justify buying probably what's going to be quite an expensive buggy and no sign of the re-re-re egress (yet) and I need a new undertray! So in all very good line up but nothing that takes my fancy........let's see what kyosho are going to give us this year??

Egress re-re was a previous announcement like a week ago.  No idea why they split up the announcements but whatever.  Couple places have egress pre-orders already.

Pricing is so interesting. Last year I got the Lancia 037 Rally for £179 on the TA02S chassis. The new Opel Calibra is on the TA02 chassis which is practically identical and it is suggested the price will be £195. Given that the Lancia body is by far more complicated it seems hard to justify that price.

Going to buy one anyway, but thoughts ....

MB in Leeds are suggesting on Facebook the Calibra at £159.99 and the Escort at 119.99. Think they are all being a bit ambitious at the moment however by giving out prices. Anyway opening the order books in Feb so looks like the truck may go on hold, and febs wage is already spent

They seem like acceptable prices to me. Might get two 😄

Was disappointed that the Escort Cossie will be on the TT02 platform. They've done so many on that already that it seems like just another kit to me. If they'd have put it onto the XV01... realistic handling as well as good looks. Love the look of the Calibra too but not sure I can justify nearly £200 on it. If it's close to £150 (as suggested above) then maybe...

Though I do have to admit, when I saw the TB05R, there was a dull thud from the direction of my wallet, as it shot itself in despair. I can't justify it in the slightest, but I WANT one of those.

Showing as £179.00 at Modelsport.co.uk.

Why did they have to make the Thunder Dragon so darn cool?!! My Slash 2WD hasn't come in yet and a Thunder Dragon costs the same amount of $ as the slash. I'm trying to stay with only 2 RC vehicles for a while and that Thunder Dragon is just taunting me...

Paging @ThunderDragonCy your new spares are ready :D

Incredibly exciting batch of releases! Enough to bring me out of hiding once more :P Still have a backlog and life plans to work out, but I have a feeling the Comical Hotshot and Thunder Dragon may stick around...

I do like the variety of angles in which each model is photographed; the Top Force Evo is presented particularly well with the front three-quarter-like shot.

Can anyone explain to me why the photos on the Tamiyablog new releases entry include a 934, 935 and Kumamon tractor?

Tamiyablog-new-releases.jpg

Or is this explained in a video I haven't watched?!

I think that is a mess up on their part.. specially considering the TamTech and the HighLift

I believe Egress was announced for May and I believe all releases today were for Q1 2021.

Was going to get the fighter memorial but it being on a 01 chassis I went and found a super fighter for not much money

the extra money has gone into the topforce fund and the ore order I’ve already thrown in :(

They’ve gone now.

Maybe next year for the 935...?

one can hope, but I suspect they've used a generic template for the post and just forgotten to remove some link :(

I think I am excited about the tracked land freeder though, and I wouldn't mind a fighting buggy one day, if the prices don't go too crazy.

I'm not that inspired by the Uni Mag on the CC-02, but I am happy that Tamiya have finally release another body for it, hopefully more will follow.

Not a track fan but something about that Landfreeder catches my eye.  Maybe.  Lot of nice releases today, generally these are days for a lot of negativity (why not this, why this, etc). Seems to be something here for everybody.  Not sure if I'll do an EVO as I have a spare Top Force, carbon plate set, and hi-cap dampers.  But will for sure do a Fighting Buggy, probably a CC02, and maybe the Opal on the TA02 chassis.

im not so lucky here.  that Thunder dragon looks too darn tempting and i have settled on this mindset for it. it looks too cool to resist, its 4wd and my 2wd slash has yet to come in at this point...

Lot of cool stuff, I must admit!

I am probably not going to buy any of it though to be honest, even if some of it is tempting. 🙂

I would have thought the Ford GT would have me drooling and posting that Futurama meme but for some reason I wasn't that thrilled.

Perhaps it is the livery which, for me, does nothing for the shape of the body even though it is the Ford promo design.

Tamiya-RC-releases-early-2021-19.jpg

When I first looked at it, I felt that it doesn't have quite the scale realism of the Toyota T050 F103GT but maybe it is the colour choice

Tamiya-RC-releases-early-2021-17.jpg

It certainly seems to have captured most of the complexities of the top surface of the car but perhaps lexan just can't do it justice, those rear lights look a bit stuck on instead of recessed but it might be the angle of the shot flattening the rear surface of the car.

Perhaps I just needed to spend a bit more time looking at it! It is a prototype, after all.

I'm glad Tamiya have made it, and on the TT-02, I like to think that it is the kind of 'hero car' that would get kids into the hobby.

In general I dont like Ford, and I think the GT40 is a all time overrated care in terms of looks. Nevermind what generation it has to me one of the ugliest car designs ever. And this is just ugly.

Never before had the mid-life design refresh term 'facelift' been more apt!

Not trying to offend, but as a kid I always got beaten by the GT40 on granturismo 4. I did not like the car then when I was younger... and being beaten by it so many times on the game I judt hated it more and more.

but its like the cars hunts me, ford has made so many models in tribute to the GT40 that I believe its is for life like this. :D

i have actually driven the multipla... and erm... yea...
