Site wallpapers

Hey,

What about site wallpapers.

Members could make their own ones and send them.

Do you mean for use in the showrooms or ones to download to use on your desktop? I think both ideas are that usefull, I think making a link site would be better, the club doesn't even have one! Will you look into it for me Chris? Then you can add my page on top of it... lol

I am thinking of a links page, but it will not be for members personal site, unless that site provides a product or service useful to our members as a whole. Its not high on the priorities though.

In the meantime all members are welcome to carry a link to thier site on thier details page, or forum signatures. There is even a section in the forum just for links to useful site - but the keyword here is 'useful'

We don't really want it filling with 'he are some pictures of my cars' sites - that is what the showrooms are for.

e.g. Tamiyaclub.com wallpaper, and user made wallpapers.

About the Links site: I know what you mean. But my site is a bit more than that in my opinion.

And about the wallpapers: I don't really think that's on the 'high priority list' as well.

May I be so free to ask you what IS on top off the list? Not that I'm saying you're not doing enough for us, I'm just curious.

Yep, you're right (stupid me...). That takes a lot of time as well. but is there a chance of having such thing sooner or later? It would be really nice in my opinion...

Couldn't anyone just save any pic they liked to their HD, then use it as wallpaper anyway?

It'd encourage well taken pics, and trawling through showrooms!

If the maximum reso. for pics is 1024 x 768, and people uploaded their best looking pic at this size, it'd fill most desktops.

For ages I had one of mooplea's RR pics on my desktop (apologies if this infringes anything, but he does take good pix!)

Personally, I don't really like using wallpapers: it makes my PC slower and it distracts me a bit from what I'm doing. Though the first point shoulndn't be that much of a problem since we've (OK, my mum... ) got a P4 1.7 Ghz...

If I get a nice Sand Scorcher, I'll take a monsterously big pictures of it and use it as a wallpaper Then I can look at it all day - even when working on the PC... LOL
