futureworks 864 Posted February 2, 2021 Definitely got me stumped! I can't think of a pre-Egress (1989) fully blue hop-up/option part made by Tamiya for a RC vehicle....the only thing I came up with was the kit supplied blue rubber switch protection bag for the likes of the super champ, so not an option part....Arghhh
svenb 3778 Posted February 2, 2021 I never knew the Egress had blue ends as a hop up just as a standard fitting 🤔 If they are a hop up part then that must be that! I was thinking nineties

Yup, this library pic from back in the day shows them as a standard fitting. Were there available as a separate part? I'm not sure. I think the first proper blue hop-up (53XXX numbered) might be the ACTO Power Formula motor, #53154..., and the next one after that 53159 blue alu flange lock nuts :-)
svenb 3778 Posted February 2, 2021 The blue connector ends could be bought separately but can't remember the part number 🙄

TurnipJF 9192 Posted February 2, 2021 Okay, how about this one. In addition to its name and styling cues, there is something else that links the Sonic Fighter with jets in general. What its it?
