On average what pages of the main site do you visit and how often?

Do you check for new items form the home page(which only lists the last ten items added), or do you go to the traderooms and showroom main pages directly?

Just wondering...

[and yes you can get a lot of info from the stats - but there are so many visitors I really want the views of the hardcode visitors to the site and its quite a difficult job to pull just those people out of all the others]

I always look at the last ten items listed for showrooms and trade. I then find myself looking at the new cars, then looking at that persons showroom, and repeating myself looking at a car, looking at all examples of that car and then looking at peoples showrooms.

I always look at the showrooms of cars that I am interested in aswell, seeing if people have updated their pictures etc.

I also look at the cars page, looking for ones I may not have looked at before.

Sometimes read peoples posts on the forum and then go and browse round their collection also.

This I do a couple of times a day EVERYDAY!

I always read forums 1st, reading every new post for the day. I will then check the top ten trade items and finally click on the link for new cars. I do not bother to read the main page listings as they have no pictures. I like to sell all the trade picture at once rather than looking at all the items individually.

I go to the forums first and read those. Then I go and check the ten new additions to the showroom and trades. After that I do some window shoping on the model list page.

look at the new 10 trades/cars and check out any that interest me.

then go to the forums.

sometimes look for new pics in the showrooms, on cars like scorcher/rough rider etc etc.

Usually, check out 10 new ones (showroom and traderooms), especially new members, or multiple new showroom additions, then straight to forums.

I usually hit the forums then go to the home page to look at the new car submissions in the show rooms. I like how it is set up with the person and which car they entered. That way I can veiw the cars I am interested in and skip the Striker entries.

Firstly...check the home page for top ten trades, manuals and car additions then the forum for newly posted stuff.

If i need parts then i may check manuals or the online parts database.

I'm just a bit concerned that people are visting the last 10 items entered but perhaps missing the fact that the may have been 20 or so items added since they last looked. How actually visits the the main showroom and traderoom pages?

Showroom yes, trade room no. Maybe instead of new items in the showroom the items with the most hits shows up.

Yup, same here too, no recurring pattern.

Let's have some "SORT" functions, Chris. Especially in the 'Showroom' where a member may have listed 60-70 items, would be nice eg if one could select option to list by date posted.

Good point... strange thing too, hadn't read this thread yet but just decided to give it a shot only today. Found Vaughn (aka 'cant get right') online earlier. But the chat server seems to be very flakey.

Visit first the trading room, then the showroom, go by members showroom not by new cars, not to miss any new upload and as I am not interested much in some cars (especially those with no description).

Then comes the forum, check all the active tpoics since my last visit.

Above usually 1-2 times per day.

I hardly ever visit the traderooms as I don't find it very easy to use. It shows the last 10 items in detail, and I can get that from the front page.

I usually head straight for the forums, after that the new showroom additions and the trade/sell pages. I also make use of the cars/manuals section quite extensively for help on other plls cars!!!

Actually, I usually only look at the 10 new trades, and very rarely through all the other trades available.

Is there anyway of categorizing older trades, just so you know whether they're relevant to you or not?

Hi Team

For me I have the trading room as a shortcut. I check this maybe 6 times a day. I have got onto the forums as well now, but I feel myself wanting quick Q & A sessions with other members Vs the email and wait option. I do alot of trading with members who are set up for Msn Messenger as its instantaneous, we can communicate more freely this way.

I Look at the "members Online" and think it would be nice to chat freely with them in real time. In the short few months I've been in the club I've made more progress with my tamiyas than in the total preceding year. This is a tribute to the trade page, well done. I agree also that a car sensitive trading database would enhance ease of use for sourcing particular items. I have heaps of items for trade, but as soon as my ad falls off the last 10 trades page, enquires drop dramatically.

Just ideas, good on ya Chris.

I check on all the new updates in showrooms and spend time looking at my cars and wondering if I will ever have time to built them let alone play with them. icon_smile_tongue.gif

If I have any updates for my showroom, I do that first.

Then into forums, next the home page.

From there I'll look at new stuff that interests me.

Otherwise the cars page is next. I branch out to showrooms from there.

I'll look for all examples of a certain car but get sidetracked into what other cars someone has.

I would love to have a chassis page. Like the cars page but instead of numerical order, they would be outlined by chassis type. Group C, 3-speeds, TA01, etc, etc. Plus, F1 cars have different chassis, so that coould get broken down into the diff. types too.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A GOOD IDEA?

Neil
