.Oh @JimBear, I forgot in my earlier post, universals included as stock as well. No dogbones nonsense with the 3R kits I had done. Also sway bars are included too. Guess that is what @Kowalski86 meant when he said hopups are included, they are stock to 3R but hopups to Tamiya!

Yup, Tamiya really doesn't like to hand out universals or sway bars.

I will be fair and say that a lot of RTR touring cars (Fazer, 4Tec, Apex2) have the very same problems as Tamiyas offerings, but they're even more expensive.

3R  are a great value, we have the Cero Ultra and a Mini MG. While they do include parts like CVD and roll bars, I will add that the quality and grade of these parts with respect to Tamiyas are much lower.  My Cero came with SSD axles, (DCJ). The finish resembles spring steel of Xray. However they bend with ease. Bright side, replacements are cheap.

I really like Kyosho’s fazer line. Super detail on the bodies. Replacement bodies however are very expensive. A clear body set is 2X Tamiyas

I finished by M06L Beetle #2 and man does it drive well.  :D  Nice tight turns and stability, even at the low ride height and excessive negative camber I am running.  B)

No rubbing, of course.    I also have some BBS LM's on order so will try those out as well once they arrive.

Thanks!  :D  Haha, yes, my cars are weekend RC cars so they are track worthy and street legal.

I got some pre-mounts today so I tried the 24 degree Rush tires..  on EVA foam it is pretty much worse than the Tamiya dorifuto-slicks without TDK.. and the tires themselves are bubbly and not a tight fit on the wheels even with their intended inserts.. so I have like 10 pairs I don't need.  :D   haha.  It's fine, I wil try with TDK once I go through my 30+ pairs of dorifuto-slicks.

The LM wheels look good on the Beetle though.. pictures in my Stories on instagram.  #pretendRCshop if anyone is interested.  I got 2 sets of those wheels without the pre-mounts so running my trusty PitShimizu on a set right now.

That air gap they have is good for asphalt, where you need the tyres to give for grip.

Cool.   I will try them outdoors next Spring.  I am thinking about moving a few of my m-chassis to the garage.

I decided to setup my M05 V2Pro (was it called?) running 60D's since I need a car to consume my tire inventory.  I found the S-Grips to work tremendously well on my EVA tiles, especially after conditioning the 8yr old tires with TDK.  :D

Not much content in my posts as usual, but just wanted to report how happy I am.    The rears are running standard 60D tires, but with about -1 camber and TDK, no issue with rear stepping out.  And the car turns very nicely with tight turn radius.

The car is running those mini 2S, an old TBLE02S (the ones with nice modulation), and ThunderPower 21.5BL.

Installed m05 carbon shock tower. It really made front end suspension more supple… (was not fan of stock m05 front suspension setup.. too stiff of an angle)

I really am happy with this hopup. Heard it also works on mf-01x… ended up getting few more from plaza japan…

Hum, it's actually the opposite. The steep angle of the stock setup (no tower) is more progressive. Adding the front shock tower gives you options for of a more direct, stiffer suspension 👍

I agree it looks nice but I ended up removing mine as it adversely affected the down stops (I would have needed longer shocks to get the same droop).

Oh interesting. I thought having more straight setup is better for socking up bumps (especially in offroad conditions)

I never ran my M05 with a shock tower off-road, but I did find the handling to be sharper on pavement. More importantly, it's less stress on the chassis and it braces the top halves.

I prefer to have a few short machine screws in that area, vs self-tappers that'll wear out the chassis halves over time.

I strongly reccomend that you either run button head screws or washers over your lower eyelets if you're going off-road. It'll prevent them from getting chewed up.

First time building m06..

it is an interesting build i really enjoyed.

Everytime i read/watch m06 reviews, there was something i wasn’t sure about… but once i built it, i really like it.

This thing is nimble during quick test drive. Cannot wait to get out and have a blast!

It's probably my favorite entry level M chassis, the CoG I'd really low with most of the weight in back, so it stays planted.

Just watch the clear shocks, they can be brittle.

I'm going to start my XM1S #3 build today with the 239mm conversion set.  I am very happy to report that the decks Xpress incudes in the conversion kit are CF.  B)  (comes with top and bottom CF decks and belt).   This is going to be awesome.

Electronics are 1252MG, XR10 Justock, going to try a 25.5BL this time, but I have a NIB 21.5BL just in case, and Futaba receiver.

Well, an NSU TT with RWD, right on! :D

I'll never get around to do that, but a BMW 2002 (the HPI body) would be a nice companion to this.
