SITE PROBLEMS _ READ THIS

OK Guys, we finally have become a victim of our own success.

Kind of thought it would happen at some point, I just had it down for summer next year, so it has come a bit early.

Basically I've got to do some major updates to the site, which is going to take the best part of a week. During this time the site may be unavailable or even down. When it is up and running there may be reduced functionality such as not allowing updates to showrooms etc.

No new members will be taken until further notice.

Sorry about all this, but it can't helped (unless someone wants to offer £250.00 a month to help finance a super new server for the site?)

During this period I will do my best to keep the forums at 100% functionality - but can't gaurentee it.

Thanks for the offer but I don't think that is required at the moment.

Its going to take me a couple of days as to what the next step is, but the main requirement is to keep it free to all.

I think an annual membership fee is a good thing so we can all benefit from a reliable server and Chris won't get too stressed.

Chris could start selling us Tamiyaclub.com shirts and caps, coffee, tea mugs so there is money for all our crazy ideas to be implemented into the site.

You've probably noticed that the site is still running a 'reduced' service. Still trying to sort it all out but its going to be at least another 24hrs before normal service resumes

Looks like we are making some headway.

Hopefully you should be all find it much easier to access the site now. Lots and lots of the of the code has been optimised now, so you might actually find bits of the site quicker than before.

You won't be able to update your showrooms or trade rooms for a few days yet, until I see whether the last round of changes I've made have had a lasting effect.

I'll let you know via this thread when things change.

BTW thanks for all the offers of help and support during the past couple of extremly busy days - its nice to no that people notice if the site not there.
