L&L Models closed?

Recommended Posts

This is a question probably to the british members here. Maybe they can shed some light on this.

About 2 ½ weeks ago I've ordered a body from L&L Models, paid via PayPal and got the order confirmation. But since then I've heard nothing from them. I've send them an email last week on Monday and another one this week but no response.

Is L&L closed currently due to Covid 19 or is this normal behaviour?

I know that things can be slow currently, but no reactions is kind of strange.

Maybe someone knows more.

Thanks.

Not sure about closed. The last time I looked a few days ago they had precious little stock. I do hope not as they did some good stuff 🤞🏻

  • Thanks 1

He's posted some new shells on FB tonight and apologised in the post for not being active recently, so probably been tied up designing these - new bodies are Sierra Sapphire & Escort RS2000

Thank you both for the information. Hopefully my body will be shipped then shortly. RS2000 sounds good.

This shop is starting to annoying me. Three weeks since confirmed order and no response to emails or any other proof of life. Is this standard for L&L Models?

Unfortunately my experience was the same as yours. The email address is redundant, the only way I found to get a response out of them was Facebook which is my least favourite way of doing anything, particularly business

Yes they appear to be very active on Facebook. Maybe that's your best bet at getting a response.

It seems to be standard operating practice for UK RC body makers in general. Kamtec are also extremely slow to respond to emails, if they respond at all.

Have you tried a telephone call. I know it’s old fashioned but it does still work sometimes 🧐

All's well that ends well, as they say, but sometimes it's seriously frustrating when there's only one company who can supply what you need and they're fairly useless at communicating with their customers.

I've used L&L a few times with no problems and will continue to use them but have heard feedback like this quite a lot.

Sometimes such things happens. In the end, when the quality is good, I will also order again.

Hi folks,

Been waiting for an update from L&L about the new release sapphire cosworth shell.

Anybody had an email update from this place regarding the sapphire cos shell release date?

I've rang, emailed and text but had nothing and now its showing as out of stock on the wwbsite.

I don't do the social websites but surely showing an interest would warrant a response.

Anybody actually managed to get one?

Just had a quick look on their website, they really don’t have much stock at the minute.

They do have some nice looking stuff though.
