Am I the only person on Tamiyaclub using the Chatroom regularly?

I allways go into chat when Im online and have it running minimised when Im going about my usual browsing, I know if someone eneters the room cos it makes a noise so I can check to see whos entered.....

but for the most part its empty, no-one seems interested in using it, and some ppl (naming no names) come in have a quick look and log off again without even having the decency to say hello.

chris has gone to a lot of trouble to get a better chatroom up and running to replace the old and useless "Shoutbox" but if ppl dont use this useful service then Im sure he could quite easily take it away from us and find some other use for the server space it occupies.

Im more than willing to chat to anyone about anything, Im sure some ppl are shy but were all friends here so dont worry about it.

you will probably find me in there between the times of 18:30 GMT and about 23:00 GMT

I hope that Members will now make better use of this wonderful facillty.

Hi,

well I think that chatting is an hobby, and as a hobby it takes time.

I really prefer spend my time in a different way, there's not so much free. Chat is not as a forum where you can read and write when you want. Chat takes partecipation and attention. If you consider that most of us have a work it become hard to partecipate.

I think this is the reason why it doesn't work beetween us. We all prefer run and restore our models.

I tried it once, but Shania Twain was on TV - Chris understood[:D]

Trouble is I'm not one of these that can watch TV and type at the same time!

I've never knowingly heard the D.C's let alone seen them, but will look into it shortly...

That's 2 types of music that should be banned - Country AND Western[:D]

That Emily's not too shabby!

Apologies for OT

I've been in the chat a few times, and don't have the decency to say hello, but this is mainly because I was seeing what the chat was about before throwing in a greeting and getting a dozen 'Hi's' before getting back to the chat. If I have nothing to offer, it doesn't seem right to interrupt just to make myself noticed.

I do hang around if there's something that interests me though.

It is certainly a good way to get instant reaction to something, and have found out some good info from it.

I like the chat, just a shame that u nearly always miss each other, i think that one day it might become really usefull in lots of different ways, so would be a shame to loose it.
