TWINSET 1793 Posted March 4, 2021 Found these pics online today - not associated with sale or original owner, just preserving the pics I assume it's a Stripper, as I've not seen similar shape by anyone else
TWINSET 1793 Posted March 4, 2021 Few more Stripper pics. According to accompanying text, it was designed to used with or without the body - body removal involved 8 bolts, 2 people, disconnecting the wiring and about 15 minutes!
El Gecko 1344 Posted March 4, 2021 Ok I want a 1:1 Holiday Buggy now please (maybe a DT02 will suffice?) I was curious so I did some Googling and found some more info on the Corsair Stripper https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=96951&id=23692
TWINSET 1793 Posted March 4, 2021 There's a few pics of 'em, mainly on Tamiya-interest sites now Closest I've seen to Tamiya's original is this one (roof spots, 3 spoke wheels)

In the comments it lead onto the dunebuggyarchives.com and I didn't realise there were so many variations on the humble dune buggy!
c64orinoco 667 Posted March 5, 2021 Wow, that really is the real thing! I have a Sand Rover, the same chassis as the original Holiday Buggy. For research look up the 'Mint 400' race on Youtube - youcan see the real buggies that inspired Tamiya for the Rough Rider, Sand Scorcher and Super Champ.
