Problem posting pics to showroom

When I select a file to upload, a little window pops up (looks like a progress window), disappears, and then another web page attempts to load and fails with a "page cannot be displayed" error. Here are the specifics:

The system cannot find the path specified.

Is that a jpg? Believe the system only absorbs JPEGs.

I don't think that's the problem, I see a lot of folks with .jpg files.

Willy is right the only format supported in the showroom is Jpeg.

This is a different error and i know what the problem is. Only effect people that may have registered in the past couple of weeks.

I'll fix it.

I just want to be clear on this, because I've gone to a couple of showrooms and when I click on the thumbnail to get the larger picture, the url references filename.jpg, not jpeg. Here's an example:

Even the thumbnail referencing the larger picture is a jpg:

The supported file format is Jpeg, the file extension for this type of file is .jpg

OK, that's what I wanted to know. That's the type of file I was trying to upload when I was having the problem. The first response that it had to be a jpeg file, and not jpg, didn't make sense to me since they essentially are the same thing.

'.jpg' is to 'jpeg' is the same '.doc' is to 'Word files'

'Word' is the file format - .doc is the extension.

Its not the problem you are having - its something entirely realted that needs fixing. I'll post here when its done.

I've been trying to add a 2 photos to my showroom for 2 days now, the upload screen comes up, stays on for about a minute then disapears and nothing else happens, add to this my ebay problems and i'm having a very frustrated week. []

Not to put too fine a point on it, but you're preaching to the choir []! I understand the context of jpeg vs. jpg and I know that wasn't the problem. I wasn't the one confused (I do a fair amount of ASP, Jave and other web based development, its what I do for a living).

I posted pics to my showroom, and its works, as you say, "dandy". Thanks for your help!

I'm new on here today and I cant add anything to my showroom for the same reasons listed before....I get the progress window...then after a long wait I get the page cant be displayed window....I've tried several times but still no luck....any ideas? Is it me? HELP!

Are you trying to load an image to your details page, your showroom or your trade room?

To my showroom. I choose the add to my showroom option...do the title...details...description bits....then hit browse...selct the pic...continue...the progress window comes up for 10 - 15 secs...then the page goes blank and takes about 30 secs to load the page not available page!

Somehow...it all seems to be ok now[]! This might just be coincidence but I always seem to get disconnected from MSN Messenger when adding to my showroom! Anyway...I'm happy now!

I'm having the same problem now as well.....

When I try and load a new car to the showroom that error screen come up....

Can we do anything to fix it or is it all at your end?
