Suggestion-RC car FAQ

I think it would be good to have a FAQ feature for each car. So when you click on the cars asp along with the Manual and parts, etc. there will be a FAQ heading. I don't know how many times it has been asked if the Monster Beetl Body is the same as the Sand scorcher or what is the differences between the Bruiser and Mountaineer. Allow people to post items in the faq. It will need to be moderated as some people will post the wrong info on a car. This would clear up misconceptions about the cars.

Another FAQ that would be nice is a restoring FAQ. I see so much disinformation spread about stripping paint off Bodies. I know a few have ruined bodies from following advice that was wrong.

Interesting idea and I agree with the principle. Just not sure how to work it though, it would be difficult to build in the new site against particular cars as many questions concern several cars. Its not as simple as this question relates to this car.

It would be quite easy to set these up as new forums, which was partially the original idea behind the 'hints and tips' thread - but problem was people just don't post there and if they do - I'm not sure new visitors with questions trawl through the old questions before posting a new (duplicate) question.

Anyone got any ideas?

A FAQ on restoring is another story. I think that would be a good new item. Maybe in the form of a sereate place in the forums, or a new item in the menu on the main site. Now all the hits & tips are all over the place; in vintage and general discussions and so on... Good one, Jim. [] Now it's just a matter of time and Chris will jump on this post... i think that the FAQ's for each model is a good thing, you could have a miniture forum for each model, so that people could talk specifically about their model.

errr, if you wanted to chat about particular car.... I think you could do that already in forum if so wished or needed... no need to cause Chris any more work surely.[]

What I had in mind was another tab in the car section. It would allow you to post FAQ info on that particular car. Not a separate forum for each car.

The FAQs would be written indendently from cars and then the authors would select the cars it can be applied, when you click on the FAQ section of the car it would list the respective links.

Also the FAQ from Robys board should be copied here, it had quite some stuff already written. Maybe also the interesting topics should be copied in a new section in the forum which is locked for reading only.
