I just found out why my son kept having problems with the Top Force the other day, an upright is broken.  When I google the part number it appears that they are the same as the Boomerang, Hotshot etc as well as the DF01 cars.

My Boomerang rere came with extra uprights on a parts tree (looks like Bigwig front shock towers on it), will they be the same?  Using blue uprights will work fine with my other blue body, and then I don't have to wait for shipping.

What other ones will fit?  I assume that TA01, TA02, all the DF01 are the same?

Have you looked at aftermarket aluminium uprights for the hotshot ? I got some really nice ones in anodised red and another set in black. They were made by one of the far east after market companies, but I can't remember which. Can't answer the question about TA01, Ta02, DF01 sorry.

if they are split/cracked i would check the screw hole on all the other plastics as they are known for cracking/splitting  i have recently had to change all the plastics on my top-force due to this happening

The bigwig ones are definitely the same as I have some on one of my top forces.

I'm pretty certain all the ones that came on ta01/ta02 touring car chassis are smaller and won't work, you can usually tell the difference as they only have 1 hole for the ball connector instead of two.

Obviously all DF01 buggys used the same red version so any of those will work and I think some cars like the hummer for example came with black ones but they never really show up for sale on their own.

As above, it might be worth getting some aluminium replacements instead as they are one of the few ali parts that actually make sense on a DF01.

Thanks for the feedback (probably most important is that TA01/2 are smaller than DF01, that would've been a pain!).  I'll make sure I get something that says its for Top Force/Manta Ray.  Didn't know the Hotshot used the same ones.

I'm not concerned about the rest of the screws.  Unfortunately the kids (mine and the neighbours) favourite car is the "green one".  It gets driven terribly so I'm surprised more doesn't break.  I should swap the blue body on and see if they don't like it as much.  The worst isn't actually the car, its that its on my MT4S transmitter which is worth more than the car and has been dropped.  Flysky GT3C is on its way.

These are probably the best right?  But they're expensive.  I have the xtraspeed lower gearbox cover (another kid injury, this time they stood on it)

Jazrider are half the price - does anyone know if they are any good?

The jazrider ones are the ones I bought. I can't testify as the to the toughness of them as I've hardly used the car since I fitted them, but the manufacturing quality is good. I was impressed enough with the first set to go and buy another.

Jazrider are RCJaz house brand (I think, the name suggests that). RCJaz only has blue in stock too, they show red and black on their website as out of stock.

I'll grab the blue, I can always put those on thr Boomerang ans get red ones when they are available too

Thanks everyone for your help

This is incorrect - as I said before, the TA-02 ones are different, the rest are the same.

In other words, TA-01 uprights (traditionally, the red ones) are the same as manta ray, top force.

TA-02 uprights (traditionally blue) are different, as in they are narrower in track width and use different bearing sizes. They also look different - they are smooth and don't have the strengthening 'ridges' running horizontally right out to the outer face like the TA-01/DF-01 ones do.
