I have had my fingers burnt twice recently, one with a non-perfomring seller, and again with a guy who would appear to be a con-artist.

Whilst I think the legal/libel side of running a "Bad Seller" list would be more hassle than it would be value, could we not set up a list of "Recommended Sellers", even linking it in to things they are recommended for (i.e. parts / nib kits etc) and issues to be aware of (i.e. long delivery times)

Just a thought...

I think again it wouldn't really help as most of us know few good ones, which anyway have a high feedback, the problem is about the low feedback members which wouldn't appear on the list. Also a seller could do some excellent small sales in the beginning to get nice feedback here and then rip us all off.

I think the best is everybody to look at the feebacks, pictures and descriptions for himself and judge the risk and if its worth it. Also ask personalised pictures for expensive items (for exanmple put a paper with your name next to the car) or ask other people in his feeback list who dealt with him before (of course check their locations first, if they have similar names or locations doesn't bring much [;)])

While I can understand you asking, I'm not sure its going to be viable. Its just so very tricky to do.

Who is to say then the board would not just become another tool in ripping people off? ie a 'bad seller' registers in the club and then recoomends his own ebayID?

If someone can think of a way of doing it that won't cause the admins heaps more work in trying to manage it then I'll have a look at it.

Cheers
