²Friday is gone already.

Today I got up early,  charged 2 shorties before the others got up, marked up the new postal racing course on the way to work,  left early and ran two packs on it. Then headed for the camping to spend the evening there.

On Monday the carpenters are back,  so I have started preparing. On Saturday and Sunday we will remove the rest of what is store in the livingrooms.  On Thursday the floor sanding-guy comes (this time I save myself from doing this, only doing the oiling), so in two weeks we have the livingrooms up and going again for the first time since February. I'll also cut off some of a couple of trees,  so the carpenters can put up the scaffolding around the brick walls/fundament for the garage.

So it's plenty to do,  but all not RC-related.

Have a noce weekend,  all.

I had a week in the African sunshine, I got a nice tan, a dose of sunburn, and met some cracking people along the way. I got back at 2pm this afternoon and the first thing I did was make a bacon sandwich, boy did I miss bacon! Tunisia is beautiful, it is nowhere near as scary as the media make it out to be and I would recommend it to anyone.

Sunday: I have had a week of no RC tinkering/bashing so tomorrow the Mojave Grom and Gorgon will be coming out to play.

Last week, I fought a wasp and lost...

Today, I helped family with a bungalow they bought, but it requires more work to replace some bad floor boards I found.

Friday again and this is gonna be a tough weekend. This weekend my daughter is attending a football cup (and my wife has an art exhibition in anothertown,  so I am all alone manning the family taxi). Today I'll leave early to go home, pick up my daughter and go back the same direction I got from to drop her off. All in prime time for the Friday traffic. I'll go over there on Saturday and Sunday to see a few matches.

This week I got the message that the excavator is coming on Monday to lift up the roof construction on the garage. At the same time the play house (back then made in grown up proportions and planned to have a second life as a garden shed) will also be moved to it's final position. It had to be moved, since it was in the way forward the garage and has been standing temporary on Leca blocks since March. So Saturday evening is going to remove the plants from the temporary flower bed I made in October/November and make the new fundament for the shed there. On Monday it's time to rest? No. Then the floor sander probably is finished with the livingrooms,  so then it's oiling for the rest of the week after work.

Have a nice weekend, fellows.

I'm back :) I've been away from the forums (and everything else) for a couple of weeks, as I've been off work with some mental health problems, but today I'm back online and staying positive for the weekend ahead :)

No RC stuff from me recently and probably not for a while - I've been saving all year for a new (old) motorcycle, and the one that's arrived is nowhere near the condition I expected, so that's going to take a lot of my time and cash for the rest of the year getting it up to scratch.  But it should be a lot of fun when it's done.

This weekend my wife is away, so I'm on daughter duty for 3 days solid.

Friday - taking my daughter on a motorcycle ride to one of our favourite old houses, where we can look at some history and probably they'll have some summer fun stuff for the kids outside.

Have a quiet afternoon at home doing housework and admin while my daughter entertains herself.

Saturday - a long quiet day at home.  Maybe go to visit some family if we get bored.

Sunday - taking my dad and my daughter to watch the British Superbikes at Thruxton.  It's going to be a long day outdoors in a crowded place, and there's a heatwave forecast so I expect we'll be hot, and it could take hours to get out due to traffic, but I'm hoping to see some great racing and have a good time with my family.

Back to work on Monday - staying positive that all will be OK and I can get back into the swing of things.

Have a great weekend everybody :)

Good to see that you're back, @Mad Ax! Been wondering if you had gone walkabout. :)

Me, I am in the middle of the school holidays, which means everybody is at home and well, you know how that is; a mixed bag.

RC-wise, I hope I can get Junior to help out a bit with the BBB (Brat Baja Bug) body reaming and the rear bodyposts. Today the Schrott Racer is off with Junior to school where they have a bit of summer camp.

The weekend forecast is sunny and hot, so we'll see how much gets done this weekend, there is always something to do in the garden and around the house.

Have a great one, fellows, and keep at it! :)

I know that being in the United States and on the west coast, I am a LOT behind for Friday. But it's 7:30 am on Friday morning.

Good morning everyone.

@Mad Ax, it's a pleasure to meet you. I really understand about all things mental. I have been dealing with my issues since 1971. But the joys of RC are an escape. And in finding Nemo, we have to keep on swimming. So keep on driving RC.

It's Friday again!  What are we all up to?  It doesn't really feel like Friday thanks to summer holiday interruptions and lack of routine, but it's got to be Friday because I've got lots to do.

Friday - working until 2pm, then technically I'm looking after my daughter, but I've got to pack for tomorrow and sort out all the pre-road-trip chores like checking fluids and tyres, also tidying the kitchen and doing some paperwork and cooking a family meal.

Tonight a local friend has a birthday, so I'll head over to the pub for an hour or two to celebrate, but will be back for a nearly night.

Saturday - up early for the long drive to Colchester for the penultimate round of the BRCA Sportscar Endurance championship.  One day to learn a track I've never raced at before, followed by a night camping at the track.  Forecast is warm and dry so it should be a fun day.

Sunday - a long day of racing, then a long drive home.  I probably won't be back until late in the evening, so I'll probably grab a takeaway and a few beers before another (short) week of work.

Have yourselves a great weekend, and I'll catch you on the flipside :)

Sure is ... Friday again (again)!

Spending the day with travel preparations, asking favours for carrying stuff, organizing this and that ... it is supposed to be holidays (at least for two-thirds of the family)!

It's too warm really to do anything useful but I still have to be at it.

Perhaps I can spend a few moments rectifying the bodged-and-aborted try on putting a Grasshopper gearbox together (some head mechanic, huh?) during the weekend. Otherwise, we'll see if Junior can take out his rally-TT02 for a spin. Looking forward to that - had a great time on the football (soccer) field last time, even with on-road tyres.

Have a great (and not too warm) weekend, fellows!

@Mad Ax Have a safe trip and racing.  Keep the dirty side down.

I will be taking in some metal recycling but before that,I need to go by a local community college and speak with the head instructor for airplane mechanic course tuat I took there. He was going to give me the Auxiliary Power Unit for a B 17 bomer.

Friday: I was all done for 12pm so I left site and came home. I will have a kebab and do some online gaming this evening :)

Saturday & Sunday: I am working all weekend as I need funds for an Arrma Infraction and a Bittydesign Jota bodyshell for my next project.

So a dull one for me, enjoy your weekend whatever you get up to. Good luck at the racing @Mad Ax and I hope the mental health issues are improving.

It's Friday again!  What's everyone doing this weekend?

It's family holiday time for us.  This morning is the final round of panic-packing and house-tidying, before setting off on what is likely to be around 12 hours of travel for a 2.5 hour flight.

Have a great weekend, and I'll catch up with you all in a week :)

Friday - work, work, work! Lunchbreak, the whole 45 minutes of it, will be spent trying to get a cd tray to work correctly on a Sony CDP-101, the world's first commercially available cd player. I'm so close to it working as it should, but frustratingly, something still isn't right. I WILL get it to work correctly! Pizza for dinner, walk my friend's dogs, then bed!

Saturday - My son and I are off to sunny (read sarcastically!) Birmingham, well, the NEC, to a car show called Gravity. I'm looking forward to this, my son said it was amazing last year. Only thing that's annoying me is the 24 emails I've received from them in the last week! Back off!

Sunday - Hopefully installing a subwoofer (or 2!) into my son's car, then off to my storage container to find some stuff I know is in there somewhere! Home for a roast dinner

Bank Holiday Monday - no work! nothing planned as of yet, maybe try and get to a car boot or 2 with my mum, maybe my son too.

Have a great long weekend y'all!

Today: Work until around 2pm. Go to LHS for some paint, do some online shopping once I get home. I will have some food and then play some online games.

Saturday: Get up early before everyone else and watch the latest episode of Dexter: Resurrection, then me, my cousin and brother are putting some flags down at the mothers, she goes on holiday today so we are surprising her with the new garden. There is a lot to do so this will be an all day adventure.

Sunday: RC day, going to catch up with my friend then go find somewhere to thrash the old monster beetle, Gorgon and M06, weather permitting of course. Have a good one everybody @Mad Ax enjoy the holiday.

So ... it was Friday - it came and went.

Hanging around on a beach is a rather odd thing in Bavaria (there doesn't seem to be much of it) but that's what I did today, ehm ... yesterday then.

Today (Saturday) will probably be "kid entertainment" and slowly starting with the packing, turning it into a panic packing hullaballoo on Sunday. I am going on holiday, but it's sort of work too, since I have to clean out a storage space unit the coming week.

Just remember kids, don't do storage space. It's stupid and on top of it, expensive. A few coins here and there becomes a horribly large pile in the end, y'see. And if you start counting it up (just don't) you'll find it even more miserable.

I have spent the week in cold sweat and with sleepless nights trying to figure out how to organize this. With a bit of luck, I've gotten a few friends to help me out, and things look quite a bit better. And I've decided to just grimly gnash my teeth and get rid of most of the stuff. Just close my eyes and throw it out. Out, demons of dusty stuff, out.

If I can manage all this, and come sane out of it - I've promised myself some sort of RC related celebration afterwards.

Have a great weekend, fellows! :)

It's Saturday.. Yesterday I left early and had the first run with the XV-02 with the new motor. Loads of fun and enough power to slide around on tarmac on MST LTX tyres. I have taken out the center diff,  so now it's predictable while sliding at the cost of the turn circle.

Today I am back to oiling the floor of the other (and larger) part of the livingroom. I have high hopes to be able to finish it within the weekend,  so the furniture can go back in next weekend. My wife is away in the evening,  so if I still have some energy after the kids have gone to bed I'll maybe start masking the Skoda Fabia body- or fall asleep before the TV watching one of Berg Fränky's vids of german bergrennen (I can't get enough of the lovely sound of high reving NA engines).

Have a nice weekend,  folks.
