Robbe Jeep?

Recommended Posts

Hey members,

I have been offered this Jeep from Robbe, unfortunately its missing the battery cover but apart from that its in great shape by the looks of the pictures!

Any ideas what it is worth and is it rare?

Thanks in advance

That's cool!  I think it's called a Robbe Laredo.  I have the body from one, I got it in a trade, I started putting it on a Losi MRC chassis many years ago and never finished it.

I've never seen one with a roof before - are there points on the body that the roof clips to?  Mine doesn't have any obvious place where a roof would attach unless it's a hidden mount.

Not sure what they're worth as they're so rare the hardly ever come up for trade.  I think for a while they were worth a bit to scaler builders because of the hardbody, but there are lots of other good Jeep bodies out there now.  Maybe worth more now to a Robbe collector.

If it was mine I'd junk the chassis and start putting the body on a Losi MRC, then get bored and never finish it.

I believe it’s a Robbe Renegade. Very rare and somewhat obscure.  If the price is good, definitely buy it.  It’s in great shape and isn’t missing much. Definitely a shelfer, not a runner.

I think many Robbe models shared chassis, so finding another battery cover is possible. This one’s sister car is the Robbe Testarossa.

If I had to guess a value, I’d say between $200-600.

50EUR is a great price for the Jeep. That Countach CS should worth at least 150EUR. It's missing some body parts such as mirrors but seems to be in good condition overall.

The countach owner wants around the 250 euro mark which I thought was a good price especially with the extra tyres.

Also is it normal for the Lamborghini to have a plastic chassis fitted? Normally they have an aluminium chassis fitted as standard.

Lots of Tamiya's!!
He sent me a picture of two lambo chassis in perspex cases!
I asked him about the glass fibre chassis, he said it was lighter and less flexible than the aluminium one.

I cannot believe it a 2nd Lamborghini Countach CS has appeared! Ive made him an offer but I don't know what to do as theres now two! What do you guys think, the other needs new front tyres, indicators, exhaust, speed controller etc.

This ones missing; front bumper, air vent, wipers etc but the chassis is more together minus a broken servo bracket.

Maybe I should get both and make one good one?! lol

Get both.  Make a nice one for you to display, and sell the other.  Between the Countach and the Jeep, that's a magnificent start to a prestigious collection.

I got it!

Hopefully arrives in the next few days! I feel like a child again, wanted one of these 30 years ago whilst looking through the Tamiya Buyers Guides!!

In regards to the front tyres, if they need replacing is there an alternative sponge tyre as from what I understand these tyres are like gold dust!

The lady has now found the battery cover for the Robbe Jeep and also the transmitter. Since I have noticed that the front bumper looks to be damaged but maybe this could be repaired?!

Is it still worth getting at 50 euros?

Any help welcome )
