Neo Scorcher - Gear box problem, HELP Please

Recommended Posts

:(:(Good Afternoon/ Evening to All

Gosh, I'm in a jam...Model (TT-02B Chassis) is 99% complete, body pained etc.

Electronics all neatly put away and DISASTER....The Front wheels go one way and the Rear Wheels go in the opposite direction.

I'm embarrassed to even post this...where do I begin????? to correct this. It can't be an electronic issue ----  must be something fouled up in one of the gear boxes?? I guess.

I did use some hop up diff parts....this never happened to me before!

I need some direction here please...and if you "chuckle" about this ...certainly I have it coming!!!..............

Thank you!

s.

You've put one of the diffs in the wrong way.

In the TT02 chassis it's possible to put the diffs either way round.

I've taken the front diff cover off, and it looks to be correct, I suppose I can flip it

I'll remove the rear and that's prob. the cause///    your thoughts if u have the time??

@toyolien has it spot on. Once you are happy that you have your electronics set correctly for forwards and reverse, give the car the command to go forwards and note which set of wheels goes the wrong way. Take out the diff driving this set of wheels, rotate it through 180 degrees on a vertical axis, and pop it back in. Both sets of wheels will now turn the same way.

I can't quite recall which way they should go, but you should be able to double check the correct direction in the manual. I know, because I did the same thing when building mine a year or so ago :D

Got it...feeling like a dunce!

Common men don’t learn. Smart men learn from their mistakes. Wise men learn from others mistakes.

chalk it up to learning how the TT02 works. It’s part of your Jedi Training…

For sure. I was certain I'd followed the manual correctly and when I put it on the garage floor and tried it, it just did some wicked donuts!

Glad it was an easy fix.;)
