Postage costs

Recommended Posts

I need to offload 3-5 cars but don’t generally do much postage stuff. What would be the average cost of UK postage by say Parcelforce  be for a single car/buggy?

Tracked / signed for 48 hour delivery by RM with an insurance value of £100 , a 2kg package medium parcel is £7.62 online , which I've used a lot  . It all depends on the weight / size and value of said car / buggy - could cost less , could be more

My advice is to box the buggy, get the weight and dimensions on the box then go to the website and find out. In the last two years, postage costs have skyrocketed and it’s going to cost way more than you estimate.

Main problem in uk is insurance cost. So if you insure it properly if it’s say a 250£ car it ends up being 20-25 quid. If low insurance then price not too bad.

Problem with low insurance value is if it goes Pete Tong then you end up losing a fair whack potentially

I always fully insure as part of the postage cost, it’s in both parties best interest imo 👍

Costs a little more but whole lot  less than a lost or damaged model.

+1 re insurance cost being the issue in UK

Which, if you think about it, speaks volumes about the quality of service …

RM and DPD are the best / least likely to damage imo

ParcelForce + Herpes are the worst

Fedex by far the best internationally - just expensive 👍
