Mine is on it's way! I had to change my credit card number. My card number was stolen a few weeks ago and the initial charge didn't go through. :( Some idiot purchased $6500 worth of truck repairs and paid their insurance. How does that not get traced back to them?

Edit: Will arrive tomorrow. YAY! Slipper clutch still on backorder though.

Its gona be good when you up to the build! I notice you have the diff nut apparently it's a must if your going brushless because the power of the brushless motor strips the thread on the plastic one?

Yes but I only ordered one. Should I get another?

Made that mistake myself! I ordered another. Don’t know if you’ll need it… but I figured it’s be nice to have them match

Nice delivery @Busdriver. Hop ups too B)

I’m wondering whether mine will come with some too…

Where did you order from. Mine along with hopups came from Fusion?

@Busdriver - Must say that kit grows on me and after all reading it also seems quite good value for money AND there is a few new things going on in the chassi.

And I must say i Love the box art!, must say i envy you buliding this all in peace during Romjulen (time between Xmas and new year, do not know English word) that includes acces to all kind off good stuff to eat/drink also, i would for sure look forward to that!

edit: A lot off. «Must say» there, but i just leave them there as an example off how to not build up English sentences

I ordered from Fusion but ordered my hop ups in a later separate order so I might not get this this time round if they don’t have enough.

I know Joanne said they had a very large preorder of the model and hopups and she wasn’t sure if they would be able to cover all of them. When did you place the orders for the hopups?

Not until early October so doubt I'll be lucky. Probably missed out on the 934 too but that's OK. I think I have enough in the garage to be getting on with!

Everyone getting their TD4's is not helping my "WANT!". Seriously thinking of changing my Wild One order to one... Oh, and I know the correct answer is to get both. Obviously.. 😉

As far as I'm aware it's just the rear gearbox because of the direct power and I don't know if the slipper clutch remedies the problem if you don't have the upgrade diff nut

It's here! Still waiting for slipper clutch.

did you order yours from Tamiya?  I ordered a few parts from them and received all but the slipper.

To those who may be wondering about the plastic diff nut, it isn't a must for brushless power if you assemble the diff carefully.  10.5 TBLM motor has plenty of "grunt" and on grippy tires and asphalt, the diffs are fine.

When I assembled the diffs, I tightened the diff screw until it started to compress the spring.  From there, I would check how tight the diff was (locking both outdrives with hex wrenches and trying to twist the diff gear) and then tighten a bit more.  I ended up compressing the spring until there was a bout 2 millimeters space between the plastic diff nut and the end of the drive cup slot.  I hope this helps..

I ordered from Tower.

Ordered the Tamiya gear diffs (54471) for the td4 so I don’t have to worry about about those diff screws. So when it’s all built, my td4 will have upgraded:

gear diffs

slipper clutch

front/rear universals

Alum steering mounts

Front/rear stabilizers

df03 alum shocks (either these or big bores)

Big bore shocks (either these or df03 ones)

custom painted body just like this one

Whoop - mine arrived today! Ordered yesterday from Modelsport and was here at 7:30am this morning. No preorder or anything needed.

I've got a new set of DF03 shocks in stock and some alternative wheels, will probably save the build for the Christmas break.

Is there really a diff nut hop up? If there is, and the TD4 was a financial product, people would go prison!

Anyway, its a cool kit
