mike in pa 64 Posted July 19, 2021 What do you guys do to install the magnets on the underside of the lexan/poly carb car body? Are you using double stick tape?
ad456 325 Posted July 19, 2021 I think shoo-goo is the glue of choice for that. Double sided tape would work too, something quality like 3M VHB or Tesa do a lot of good double sided stuff.

TamiyAddict362 60 Posted July 22, 2021 Shoe-goo seems to be the only choice. Double-side tape doesn't quite work unless the area concerned is perfectly flat, but usually there're ups and downs or curves so it just won't work to stick a flat-surfaced magnet. If you ever want to try any unknown glue, be careful as most of their chemicals will "erode" the PS paint. The look will then be totally ruined even after re-paints. Better try on a piece of scrap lexan with some paints on.
mike in pa 64 Posted July 23, 2021 How about a strip of re-enforcement tape to protect the paint then sho go on the tape to secure the magnets?
