I woud say with my bad english that we don't see the build and the use of this model.... just in the box

Ahhh, got you, sorry for the misunderstanding. You’re right though, there are plenty of build threads of the 35th Anniversary kit, but none yet of the 40th. I’m sure there will be 👍

Apparently the modified vaillant decals I had MCI make are 1/12 scale 🤦🏻

Fortunately  I made up a set of Brumos ..

Tower seems to have received some more Tamiya kits. The finally filled orders of the MF01X Ford Escort. Doesn’t seem they received any 45th anniversary though.

I have been away from RC a while and saw this car being advertised and found myself drawn back into TamiyaLand…

I had a NIB 30th back in the day and always regret selling it rather than building it.

Having opted not to buy the 40th because I felt it was not really that special, I was ready to get in line. But I now realise that the same 6mm wheelbase issue that was in the 40th is still in this car and I really cannot be bothered.

Tamiya was always about quality and attention to detail for me and the 30th had that in spades with the bespoke chassis.

Just because they stick some FRP plates in an admittedly cool box with blisters, does not stop this car being a bit of a cheap bodge job IMHO, recycling old parts and relying on you to shave 6mm off the wheelbase.

seeing the amount of my fellow TCers who are queuing up to buy this, I bet Tamiya could not care less about my thoughts, and I am probably going to order one of those re-re TA02 carbon chassis though and put a GT2 shell on instead, so they’ll get my cash anyway!

Agree that it is disappointing they did not address the wheelbase. A set of new arms could have fixed it.

They however know that collectors will buy and stock up on these. If and when I receive mine, I’ll probably just keep mine in the box as well.

Last night, I finished building a TA03R-S. Bought chassis from a fella who splits kits up and sells it. I used that for the Lancia 037 shell I bought back in 2013. Now I have a complete TA03R-S Lancia 037.

This morning, I saw that they are releasing another batch of TA02S with Lancia 037. Found that odd considering the TA03R-S is also out now with the Porsche 911 GT1, so why not release it on that chassis.

This all goes back to, Tamiya really doesn’t care.. they know we will just buy

@mtbkym01 actually, I just spoke to Metro Hobbies on the phone and they told me one other person has emailed saying they are missing their certificate also.

They are following up with the distributor. Will just have to wait to hear.

My LHS was able to order me one a few months ago from their distributor. Can't bring myself to peal off the sealed plastic lol

So it seems to have been now confirmed that there wont be any more of these kits provided by Tamiya, and the rumour of a second and third batch coming were just that...rumour.

They handled the release of this kit incredibly badly. And to produce so few was just crazy.

Is this just in your country (where ever that is)?    Tamiya USA shows it a "temporarily out of stock" as of today.
