M03 Steering

Recommended Posts

Have been on the look out for an M05 or possible a M07 but tonight I stumbled across and have collected an M03 for the pricely sum of £15.

Ive looked it over and seems the only thing missing is the servo saver and steering links.

Is the servo saver the same as the TL01? And how handy are the links to get, had a quick look on eBay but found nothing.

Thanks in advance.

Check #50736. M03 shares the same tree with TL01 which includes the servo saver. So, yes.

But the servo saver should be a general item. Buy #51000 or the 3Racing copied version will do, although they're a little shorter but no problem.

As for the steering links, are you referring to the turnbuckles plus ball ends? Since there's no steering arms in that direct steering mechanism.

It is again a general item, not model-specific and is full of substitutes. Just make sure the length is correct. Better check the manual.

Sound like you need 3*32mm turnbuckles (maybe #54249) and some ball ends (#50875).

Plus 5mm ball connectors (the cheapest one being #50592) to be used on the servo saver.

Of course all these are sticking to the Tamiya Brand. You may just grasp anything cheaper or you see fit.

You should use the M-03 specific servo saver, it is a lot longer and has unique geometry.

This info is perfect, I should have a TL01 servo saver sitting about and the part number for turnbuckles and ball connectors is perfect!
