TA-02S/SW rear arms suiting the 230mm wheelbase

Recommended Posts

I have been digging around and contacting custom carbon manufacturers through ebay and locally.... all to no avail.

Instead I think I am going to go down the route discovered by Dr. Roberts https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=129718

and also shown in this video (although this is a bit different... Dr. Roberts works out a way to remove 3mm front and rear whereas RCKicks takes 5mm off the front and leaves the rear stock. It does look good!

I sent in the meantime an email to Klaus Steinhübl from Maxspeed, but got no reply yet. I just can guess, that he´s at the moment somehow unable to handle his shop, but does not want to delete it completely from ebay. Hopefully, to return at some point...

He is a nice and helpful contact, and he jumped on my idea with no hesitation and kept the price of his chassis plates low.

For all, who want to go a cheap and durable root: Take the original glassfibre Tamiya plates, and follow my initial mod route: Before I had Maxspeed to modify his carbon plates, I cut the Tamiya plates shorter and drilled some new holes, to get the 230mm wheelbase. This was the baseplot for the 230mm plates. I still have these original plates and could make some pics, if anyone is interested.
