RC scaler playground

Recommended Posts

This is something I've been working on for quite a while now, and it hit a major milestone today: all the rocks are in place. So it seemed like  good time to take some photos, and give it a little test run.

Here's an overall shot so far. That little bridge still needs ramps going up and down from it, but I need to go gather more sticks...

Tried it out with my trusty ECX Barrage. So glad no one wanted to buy this thing; I had forgotten how good it really is. Keeping it for good now. This thing is a mountain goat.

Then I had an idea...

Oh no it didn't.

OH YES IT DID!

Box-stock G6-01, with a 540 and a standard S3003 servo, and all three diffs wide open, got to the top of that rock pile. More than once. This thing is amazing.

More to come; calling it quits for the day because it's 90 degrees F out.

Great work, and great inspiration. I like the tree and the bark mixed in, passer by will just think you've made a rockery.

I think it's pretty well done for now. Now it's time to concentrate on building more trucks to drive on it...
