Side on, neither of them are especially attractive

I really like them - especially the top one in that colour but looks like something i would have put into a hedge seconds after leaving the dealership.

Im also struggling to think how they can fit something that low profile over the m06 chassis without raising the bonnet line. Although they made a spot on job of the vw karmann ghia last time so fingers crossed.

I guess back then it was the hot / cool car to have a long with a few others . There are many hot cars to choose from now - depending on the size of your wallet , as usual

You got me worried. So I took a photo of my M-06 and overlaid it on Twinset's photo.  M06 is surprisingly low, apparently.  My M06 has medium wheelbase, so I stretched the photo of my M06 by 1.4 cm.  I guess it's going to be a long wheel based car.

That looks like it might be pretty close to being ok. Would need a low profile servo to get a cockpit in but looks promising!

Since mine is for taller and clunkier looking NSU Prinz, it didn't occur to me to fit a low profile servo!  Don't mind me if I borrow your idea.

This would have to be the pick of the bunch for me so far 👍🏻

Tara King drove one? OK that’s it I’m in 😁

Maybe even a 400 hp, P1800 Cyan version?  A bit too Mustangy for me though.

Well that’s a ^^Volvo^^ I’ve never seen before. Very nice, it kind of resembles a big Wall St cousin to an MG Midget.

pair it with M05 or M06 chassis. (They already have very similar wheels)

They could pair a LOT of different sports car bodies from the 1950s-70s with a RWD chassis and those Minilites from the Escort...

Certainly some wack lines going on there, the top of the drivers side window, the bow at the bottom sill of the orange one, it's got a banana thing going on

The rear wheel arch looks quite far back, its going to be real close to the M06s motor...

It might be touch and go with the front body posts (I highly doubt it will run those rears, probably the same ones as the Lowride) with the factory pogo sticks, but some 50mm dampers will lower it a bit and then the body posts won't be so close to using the bottom holes.

There was an iconic 60’s or 70’s sports car nick named ‘the bread van’ I can’t remember what it was but it might have been this one.

I guess we'll probably get this version, along with the minilite style wheels?

I wouldn't mind too much if it was something more like a 47 or (even less likely) a 62 though!

I remember seeing a show which featured old cars and they showed one on a pile of scrap cars in a breakers yard and it was so rotten that the whole front with engine etc had detached at the A pillars and fallen off away from the main car !!

Sounds like a runner then🤡

Ohhh! Not the Lotus I’d choose, but a Lotus all the same, I’m sure there’s room in my life for one of those. Be interesting to see one next to a Tamiya Mini as it should make the Mini look really tall, these things are so low!  Shame the chassis won’t have the banana bend in it, the real ones basically bow down to give the driver / seat space!

Can we all ask nicely for them to make an Elise? Pretty please..!

That looks great and will be getting one for sure. I'd build it without the wing and also I hope its not pre-painted.

That looks amazing! I really love the Lotus Europa with the spoiler, like the Circuit Wolf version that Kyosho already did ~20 years ago.

Not a fan of the rear wing, seems to be a Kyosho/Tamiya preference; http://www.lotuseuropa.org/LotusForum/index.php?topic=1602.0

The Tamiya 1/24 model includes it, but they don't use it on the box art

The rear wing was only added to the relatively recently re issue 1/24 model. It did not appear at all on the original. I’m also pretty sure it never was a Lotus part either.

I like it, might even get one.

I'm glad I'm not the only person in here who gets misty about the old matchbox version of this car. I was honestly going to hide that fact.

I think the Fiat Abarth Campagnolo wheels suit it better than the boxart 1/24 wheels
