HOW MANY TC MEMBERS HAVE OVER 100+ POSTS

Who knows how many of the TC members have over 100 posts? And wy does the counter stops at 100?[?]

Hi Jerry,

not 100% sure on how many there are - although I can find out.

Why do they stop? You'll find a number of threads on why if you do a search. Basically the main reason was, when it was an exact number it made the whole thing a bit competitive and it encouraged people to make lots of posts, quite often not adding anything helpful to threads to which they were posted.

The numbers were a bit worthless anyway, as I kept saying at the time its not the number of posts that are important but how interesting and helpful those posts are.

Chris is correct. It used to be that there was a car name attributed to your name which signified how many posts you made. People were just submitting folow up posts with little or no real information.

A few more posts for me I will fianlly hit that 100 post mark

Chris, can you find out or do you know what the most popular model is? Is there something that tells you how many of each car is in the showrooms? It would be interesting to find out a TC top 10 models. I havent got time to look at every showroom and count for myself!! [8)]

BeetleMeister there sure is. Just click on the cars section and then click on the user rides tab. This shows how many of each car there is on TC []

Will the 100+ cutoff increase eventually? It just seems that most of us have over 100 already. Even only one post per day would get you there in short order. Does what I'm saying make sense? If everyone has 100+, it's not much different than not showing a number at all.

I could increase the post count to 200+ etc etc but first I'd need to be given a good reason why to do it?

Ok i'm down three times?[?] All with the same amount of posts but it says i joined on the 21/12/02, 03/01/03 and 07/01/03 I joined December time not sure when but it wasn't Jan. Plus my showroom page says January the 3rd which i'm sure is wrong? [?]

I removed it. Thought I had done it long ago actually.

Not being a kill joy - I know how much you all love stats []

It just because of the way the system integrates with the club it was a bit of a security loop hole in the registration system. People who had not been accepted to the club, were listed there as members which not right.

I'll bring it back when I have figured a way around it.
