Part clarification

Can some clarify if this is md2 ? And do I cut it in half and glue it in maybe ? Assume it stops shaft in gearbox hitting driveshaft through cup..

I cut those in half when I built my Super Hotshot, but did not glue them. There is no indication to glue those. Just pout them in place - the most difficult is to keep them in place until you get the dogbones in.
