WideOpen 22 Posted October 3, 2021 Are these bodies made of Lexan - or maybe more specifically, how to fix tears in the body?

Yes, they are made of clear polycarbonate plastic; Lexan is a brand name for this material, but it's the same stuff. As far as I know, most of us try to do our best to protect and/or reinforce bodies with backing tape to avoid tears/cracks. Once they happen, there's really not much you can do to fix it cleanly.

Sir Crashalot 235 Posted October 9, 2021 If a crack starts to develop, drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it spreading. Try to avoid square corners when trimming, a curve is less likely to crack.
WideOpen 22 Posted October 10, 2021 I used clear FlexTape - I am telling ya, it worked great, pliable, flexable (duh), and sticky. I taped the outside first with the blue painters tape to get the lines to match up and then used the FlexTape on the inside - worked like a champ.
