I am working on a RC project and I was wondering if anyone has ever asked the Forum members this question : How many Tamiya do you own? And which?

Personnaly, I own the following:

- Tamiya TT02B Neo Scorcher

- Tamiya TT02B Plasma Edge II (see it on the Forum here in its Ice Buggy version)

- Tamiya DF03 Dark Impact (Vintage 2006)

- Tamiya TT02 Mercedes AMG GT-3

How about you?

Tamiya? Only two, currently.

M-07R

TT-02 Type SR

If it ever comes, I'll definitely add an M-08R to those. Anything else - from Tamiya - is currently not very likely (although I haven't completely abandoned the idea of a Subaru Brat yet).

EDIT: I own several more RC cars, but I'm heavily into racing, and Tamiya is not exactly my preferred brand for that, with the exception of the above-mentioned cars. :ph34r:

Good question for the forum @NickPask

Since rediscovering RC cars about 3weeks ago I now own the following Tamiya cars...

1. Mad Bull rere - total basher

2. Madcap - heavily modified with Astute and other parts for more careful, fast paced use

3. Madcap - for restoration

4. Grasshopper II - rebuilding a wreck my son to bash

5. In the post I have 2x Mud Blasters on the way for restoration and bashing

Will I consider other RC brands? Probably in the future, but for now it's all about the Tamiya!

where the badword do you store all of that!!!???

I have small spare bedroom with shelves on 3 walls. Its gotten to the point where the floor's covered too except for a small path to my workbench. The runners are downstairs on shelving units behind closed doors. None of my collection is visible unless you open these rooms and that keeps my wife happy.

Hi @NickPask I only recently returned to tamiya world after a 30+ year hiatus!

Egress (2013 ReRe) for my birthday One month ago

GF01 Land Cruiser which will be complete once the paint for the shell arrives

Fast Attack Vehicle purchased used. Needs lot of love and it will become a FAV/Wild One hybrid as the army look on this isn't my thing

Wild One purchase used. Should arrive next week. Seems in good condition but I will be repainting and adding some customised 3D parts

Next...

Wild One Blockhead on pre-order

Next purchase I think might be a Lunchox or Wild Willy or maybe not a Tamiya at all. I really want a Flamingo to hop-up

Juggernaut 1 isn't NIB.  It's built, upgraded to 2.  (I kept the plastic wrap taped to the box.)

I must live to 150 years if I want to finish building all these.

If you meant Tamiya RC, about 3 dozen.  We all have a problem... Knowing that is half the solution (the other half, I'll worry about it in my deathbed.)

At the moment just three..

qh9JXW9.jpg

All 1/14 scale (ok the heavy dump is technically 1/25) but all on a 170 - 185 mm wheelbase.

They are a GFO1, cut down MF 01x and a QD Pumpkin with hobby grade electrics and a brushless motor.

The MF 01x is fast, the GF01 super capable and the QD plain fun.

I like the small sizes.

I think I've got the bases covered (apart from on-road, my Schumacher Fusion 'Cannonball' rep, scratches that itch.....),

Current cars and power plants :-

Dark Impact (7700kv/3s)

DT03 Neo Fighter 'Mad Duke'  (5700kv/3s)

WT01 'Rent a Racer' (3800kv/3s)

Boomerang (4300kv/2s)

Lunchbox (4300kv/2s)

Lunchbox (15t firebolt / 2s)

Bullhead (15t Firebolts / 2s)

Novafox (15t Firebolt / 2s & the odd 3s)

Hornet 'Orange Blossom 2' project.

Think that's the bases covered, although I am tempted with the TD4, but need to wait for the 2nd hand market I think...😏

My novafox on sport tuned and 2s is pretty quick… 15t must be pretty snappy!

- vintage Grasshopper (my first RC ->mangled to bits);

- vintage ThunderShot (my second ->mangled to a little bigger bits);

- Porsche 959 (my third -> well used, hopped up with bearings and Toyota diff&stabilizer);

- vintage Egress (bought in top condition circa 12 years ago after a long RC hiatus);

- vintage Avante (same as the Egress);

- early Rough Rider (bought in very very good condition earlier this year - I plan to get a Sand Scorcher and a Ranger body and make a custom Funco body to cover more bases).

Other Tamiyas I really fancy:

- Blazing Blazer;

- vintage (80s) Lancia Rally (Audi Quattro and Opel Ascona are two close seconds...I've something for those chunky tyres and the box art: I remember I lusted after them in my LHS as a kid...:wub::wub:)

- mk1 Wild Willy.

Indeed @c64orinoco, it seems the RC bug has bitten some people more than once and keeps and biting ;p
