Chassis identification (non Tamiya)

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I am hoping someone could identify this chassis - it appears to be of excellent build quality, with distinctive wheel hubs / nuts. From all my years of experience I’m putting it down to a Serpent, but there isn’t any identification or markings that indicate it might be this

Does anybody know the make / model? :)

When I see that kind of purple, my first thought is HPI, but I don't remember enough of their old cars, sorry.

Serpent Impact

One of my buddies had one about 15 years ago.  I still recall that it was the only RC I have ever seen leave a 20ft burnout in the street.  The rubber “11” lasted nearly a week.

If you put fresh tires and a wedge body on that chassis, it will hang with the fastest of modern brushless cars.

My guess would be not very much, I'm afraid. It seems to be a 25 year old car, not really in mint condition and I doubt there's any collector's value to it...

You’d be surprised with these old circuit cars - couple of years ago I sold 80% of one similar (no engine) for £146

Edit: Well a hundred and forty something anyway..
