Sorry for the delay - been a bit busy [:)]

Just to run through the new rules again...

Voting will close at about 9pm tonight (GMT).

The next round will start on Sunday of May at around 9pm GMT. The contest will be limited to the first 50 models enteredid="red">.

The 'theme' for the next round will be 'Backyard Basher. Shelf queens need not apply'id="purple">. We want to see mud, we want to see damage, we want to see speed, we want to see action, we want to see realism, we want to see big air. The more of these you photo has the better!. New builts, with immaculate wheels and paint work, photo'd sitting on coffee tables or newly mown grass lawns are not welcome (There will be a round especially for you at a later date)

There will be a few changes to the next round.

- each member can submit only one item

- the competition will be limited to the first 50 applicants

- voting will not start until all 50 cars have been entered (or two weeks pass)

- voting will run for approximately 2 weeks after that.

Stu Chris, I love the action shots and battle damage to boot.

Well I get off work on wed and it's off the roof time for the old hornet.

Wow I can't wait to see pics of these cars getting

BASHEDid="red">id="size6">

This being the backyard basher award and hence limited to cars that get bashed I can't wait to see action pics of those SRB's and 3spd getting launched into ponds, ran into walls, and set a blaze with a faulty MSC + low turn motor.[^]

As an entrant in backyard basher contest it's your duty to challenge your local fullsize sedan or SUV to a game a chicken.

I wish we had got pics of the very realistic exhaust smoke, then engine blow up in my Mercedes C11 at the spring meet.

That esc has melted a small area of the C11's chassis with that melt down[:(]

I know its easy to get carried away in these awards but I think I must be missing some thing. Just been through the nominations so far and despite what I've put in the description of the award, and the title of the award itself there are still people entering 'New Builts', 'Restored' models etc into a competition which is really all about 'Runners'

I'll leave these in, and let the voting masses decide whether they constitute 'backyard bashers' or not, but if we hit the 50 nominated cars limit, will be force to remove them from these awards for the sake of those with real 'bashers' that want to enter.

Don't get me wrong, they are all great pieces of work - its just not what this particular round of the competition is about.

Cheers

I've now changed the system, so only cars listed categorised as 'Runner', 'Project' or 'Other' can now be entered into this round of the competition.

Maybe I am to stupid or to tired ......

How can I participate ?

Does the car have to move or fly (it is a little dificult for me to drive and make fotos at the same time [:I] ) or can it be a foto of the car standing after driving ?

all right thats it!![:(!] Chris your going to have us killing our cars to get the craziest pic. I just saw synchronnc's egress jumping over his helicopter in flight. Now that could have turned nasty[:0]

[:D][:D][:D]

It did break 1 front upright but that was after maybe 30 jumps !

It did hit the heli once but didnt damage it , those piccolo's are amazingly tough . I did think about jumping the hirobo shuttle but that would have been very dangerous , if the piccolo hits you it doesnt hurt !

The competition is now closed for new entrants and the voting has begun.

To save a little of the confusion on the voting I changed it so you simply vote for your three favourite models, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. (although if you wanted to vote for 3 x 1st you could - if you are the sort that just can't make up your mind[;)])

When voting please remember what this round of the competition is all about 'Backyard Bashers!'

I'm not going to judge what is a shelf queen or not - it'll just lead to grief. Its upto the people voting to decide whether an entrant is the true spirit of a 'Backyard Basher' or not [;)]

I'm just running late on my pics <--that's what happens when work picks up and you have an 1:1 car project on your hands.

[:D]It very nearly did get nasty, imagine the pressure I was under tryinging to keep a flying Egress out of the rotor blades. The only damage was a minimal bend on the front suspension. Sorry Alan!
