As I'm visiting this site more and more frequently, I was just wondering if there is a way of marking up new 'posts' (since last visit) with something visible so we don't have to spend so much time scrolling down the topic and guessing which was the last post read? Similar to the current way that 'topics' are marked up as unread, but to the actual posts within a topic?

I visit a few different forums (this is the best one [;)]), and the ones that let you know exactly which posts are new are so much user friendly.

Just be very useful if it can be done Chris.

Cheers

Easiest thing is to make sure you are logged in when you visit then just click on the 'active topics' link in the top right hand corner.

this shows you all the threads that have been updated since your last visit. You can even configure it to refresh this page every so often if you want to leave it open to see when new posts arrive.

Yep, I get that bit cheers. I was thinking more about marking the actual post unread, aswel as the complete thread. So for example it shows up the thread hasn't been visited, so when i click on that, it opens the whole thread up, but instead of scrolling down it looking for the approx date and time that i last visited, there will be a little 'thing' next to the post telling me i havn't read from here on.

How does that sound!? [:D]
