i notice when ppl ask a question or state something in the forums some ppl reply & in the beginning of there reply they type "er".....

what does that mean?....is it the same as the term used here "um"?...

well whenever i say em i mean the same as um, so i guess thats what it means. i might be wrong though.[;)]

Er ... seems to be the little moment, when someone does not know what to say, or how to proceed with a sentence. In written form more an expression of a humoristic way to show a short moment of uncertainty.

Just what I believe

Hey Jim,

come on! What are you threatening us with? [;)]

A colleague of me is always haunting us with quotes like: "A joke is the epigram about the death of an emotion" Sentences like this make me nervous. I always ask him if he had dropped in some drugs. *LOL*
