Haven't updated this one in a long while. There was a mod I did some time ago, documented elsewhere on the forum, that I'd like to add here, keep it all in one place. Also there are plans for further mods to my ORV in the future🙂

In summary, I swapped out the Frog UJ's (same as the 2015 MB rere UJ's) for the Blackfoot ones, as there is an inherent issue with them which causes harsh vibrations.

I first span up the buggy on the bench to assess the vibration again with the Frog UJ's. Pretty bad unless the suspension is pushed up to bring the drive shafts horizontal. I then removed only one of the Frog UJ's and replaced it with a Blackfoot one.

Upon spinning up the truck in this format, the vibration from the Blackfoot UJ side was gone and of course still remaining on the Frog side.

The Frog/MB UJ (bottom in the pic above) is of a different configuration to the BF one (top on pic). The BF one has the gearbox cup pin at 90 degrees to the pin in the centre of the UJ. The MB one has the gearbox cup pin centred along the same axis as the central UJ pin, and that is what causes the oscillating vibration when the shafts are spinjng and the angle between the gearbox and the axle moves beyond horizontal.

Swapped the other side and put it all back together. I can confirm that with the BF UJ's there is no vibration. Thanks again @OoALEJOoO👍👍
