Hi, my question is how do you tell the difference between these belts?

I have an old belt, I think Aramid, and the print on the belt is yellow with the number 476J from what I can make out as it is fading.  Definitely 47 something.

I purchased a new belt, suppose to be Aramid, and the print is in white with numbers 247J.

To be honest, I don't think the new belt is Aramid one.  I could be wrong.

Can someone please clarify?

Thanks.

The aramid belt is yellow writing, white writing is stock. The only other ones were the limited release red and blue belts. Tbh having raced my TA03 many years ago I never once snapped a belt. Sometimes it would start to stretch ever so slightly but never enough for me to go through belts. 👍

Agree. Yellow writing and also quite narrow compared to the stock one with the white writing. Much narrower than the pulleys.. Only thing I had happen is that after the ta03 had been sitting in a cellar unmoved for 20 years was that the belt took the shape of the pulleys... Haven't tried if it affects driving but bought a new spare belt anyway... That is why these days whenever I touch my ta03 I rotate the drive train a bit.

Thanks guys for your input.

Agree, never snapped a belt, just stretched.

Good point, looking at my old belt, it is narrow and this is confirmed on RCJaz site.

Great, now I have to have a chat with vendor on ebay.  Just wish people are honest.

Hi Toad, yeah saw that.

I actually sent him a message asking colour of print on belt and he confirmed yellow.  I have now purchased it.

I have to say the first ebay vendor was very nice and all sorted.
