Trying to source some wheels for three Sand Vipers so we can run them on car parks / tarmac etc. after advice on here that the stock spike tyres will wear down and then be no good for grass. Is there an economic way to get these? All the ones I find seem to be 4 wheel drive with 12mm hexes? So no good for a rear wheel drive  buggy that needs wheels which take bearings at the front. Found some at a UK RC dealer but over £25 ish for a set. Any advice appreciated.

I just bought a DT-02 Holiday Buggy and got some Fastrax Arrows to go with it. Don't worry so much about the front as they are under less stress and wears slower, even on my 4WD Thunder Dragon.

Only problem (for me) is that the Arrows only come in white or black so will crash badly with the yellow fronts. Ah well...

Are the tires pre-glued???  If not, maybe you can dye them???  At least paint them???

I love the spoke tires...  I just love that style...

Not sure actually, it is school holidays now, so up to my neck with kids minding duty, have not even opened them yet. But being Fastrax (I have their other sets), I believe they are pre-glued. They are marketed as cheap, disposable basher wheels tyres set so they do not even sell wheels and tyres separately.

I would recommend the Carson ones:

They are a perfect fit for the DT-02, with no offset or axle length issues. The tyre tread lasts for ages even with a hopped up motor on rough tarmac, and seems to have just the right level of grip too - giving plenty of control but letting go and sliding when you overcook it rather than grip rolling the car into its lid. Plus they are shiny!

(They can be a tad expensive, but last many times longer than cheaper offerings, so work out as excellent value in the long term.)

The quality of the Carson all terrain 2wd set is really good. I have them in chrome on my Grasshopper and use the charcoal ones on my Sand Viper also. I use another Carson set on my racing fighter. That's a 2wd rally set if I remember correctly. Take notice with the hex adapters for the front you could loose a lot of steering angle depending on the offset of the wheels you use. I had this set-up with e-louise wheels/ tires on my Sand Viper first but changed it because of the too limited steering angle. You can find pictures of these cars with the mentioned wheels in my showroom (tamiyastef)on the main site.

These look perfect, Tamico want 160 € minimum order though.

******, not used them in a while so did not know.

I just checked my box and I don’t have any spare. Loads of hex wheels but no buggy wheels

A few weeks ago I bought a set of black Carson wheels for my Sand Viper. A set is between 15 and 20 Euro. The wheels come ready to use and fit very well. I have not tested the wheels yet.

Thank you - I have three sand vipers so have gone with fusion hobbies and used my points earned buying the vipers in the first place to get the cost down. Thanks for looking though.
