Sand Scorcher Wheelarches

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I didn't anthing wia the Search.

I've precutted some ABS wheelarches today for testfitting.

How do i glue them in?

I do have the revellglue, but the Arches aren't the best fit. So i would aprechiate some thicker Glue that could fill in the Gaps between the Arches and the Bodyshell.

I'm not mentally able to get another mis**** from my Scorcher.

Yesterday i wanted to testfit an Engine, and it won't fit....

I had the 3d printed versions of them before the abs ones came out and used araldite. They were not a perfect fit so then used filler and sanded to shape before painting. However once glued in i couldnt get the windscreen in and ended up cracking the filler to get it in. As your scorcher body is looking already assembled id probably use Shoo Goo as at least you have a good chance of removing them without destroying it if you ever decide to strip and repaint the shell.

I bought the Scorched Parts inner arches for mine and glued them in with epoxy glue (Araldite).

So far so good.

I wasn't paitent and glued them in with the Revell Glue. It holds up better than expected :D

So the next Task will be to paint them or not. I could leve them white, paint them black or paint them Red.

And my Problem with that Scale Engine from ebay is also not solved.

I've sent the seller a message.

Those pieces are styrene?  If so I would sand/file the pieces so that they mate with your body with no gap, then use Tamiya cement (orange cap) to glue them on.  Might be good to sand the body too just a little to give bare styrene to adhere to for maximum bond.

Then paint them as you like.

I thik the pieces are made from ABS.

They are from "Scorched Parts" and the Revell Glue holds up just fine.

Thanks for your input!
