The day that a Globe Liner body is not available world wide. I am talking about the body only, part #9335165. I thought this was funny. I can't find it online anywhere. (No where!)

The way things are these days. Full kits are pretty much the same, but can find them long distance. Maybe this makes some one laugh.

It's the same everywhere ATM. Guy at work went to order a brand new car here in Aberdeen at the local Nissan Dealer to be told he is looking at an August 2022 delivery date from the factory !!!

I know even good used cars are hard to come by. It effects everything these days. Usually you could find that part some where in the world and thought it was funny. That's the way it is for a while.

This must be why used cars prices had gone through the roof.

Not even a surprise as many news cars can't be completed due to microchip shortages. Football parking lots of cars waiting for electronic parts. Im glad my 10yr car is holding up just swell.

Last time I had an oil change on my daily, the service writer at the dealership I bought it from had said that it could take about 3 years (IIRC) to get things flowing again and back to where they had been 2 years ago.  They have some cars and trucks on their lot, but not like they did before everything hit the fan and there are a number of dealerships I've seen that are far worse off, inventory wise.  Dad likely replaced his minivan at the right time last spring and luckily my 200 of running good and the work we did to it in August should help keep it on the road longer as well as be better able to avoid other drivers as needed.

yeah some dealers really want your use cars. the last time i got pestered by Ford was 2 years ago and i told them the same thing i did everytime: i have no intention of selling or replacing the car i have at all. id like to see them offer the newest year model to replace my current one: Fiesta 2011 hatchback. oh wait, they discontinued it and they dont make it anymore much less an ST version. i dont count the crossover version a hatchback but thankfully they dont sell that in Canada, only Europe and similar areas. they havent yet bothered me about my trade in option lately but i will ask them if they have a 2022 ST Fiesta and thats the only option that might change my mind. a trade in with Ford has mostly become useless because their new models are SUV or trucks. maybe they will consider compacts but they are likely to try electric in that category.

I’m running into that with Chrysler/Dodge too, I wouldn’t mind getting a Bolt Hatch, just not the bigger “Utility” version that would be coming out once the whole battery problem gets sorted out.

its not even a clear bet that the big American EVs will survive. China is making leaps and bounds with EVs while we in North America cling onto petroleum powered vehicles. the big companies only started to get into EVs again after shunning them a few decades ago and are behind the ball. China is likely going to invade the car market with their EVs and wreck any decent EV plans the big ones have.

it seems like the Amreican brands will hold onto that caveman club of ICE SUVs and trucks until the market collapses. atleast the Asian brands are in the right for the smaller compact  and midsized.
